My primary interest lies in understanding the correlates of distribution of bird communities across environmental and disturbance gradients. To understand mechanisms shaping the breeding distribution of Himalayan leaf warblers, I used information on their evolutionary history, functional traits and contemporary ecological factors. Using similar approaches, I am interested in understanding bird community structure and its drivers across broader environmental gradients and in multiple-use landscapes.
