Our lab primarily works on the natural history and biogeography of the birds of the southern Indian region, particularly in the state of Kerala. One project that we just concluded is the Kerala Bird Atlas. We regularly conduct bird surveys in the various forest areas, including the protected areas in the Western Ghats, the wetlands, and the coastal and marine habitats. We also undertake studies on the impact of climate change on bird distribution in this region.
